Review of Battle Royale (2000) by S Christian R — 17 Dec 2012

Ends more with a fizzle rather than a bang but this is still some damn fine filmmaking. Having read the comic the idea of them shoving together all those stories into one coherent film was baffling and yet the pull it off brilliantly.

I miss that it's not broadcast to the world, that the villain dies so easily despite killing nearly everyone and that the ending just doesn't have that same hopefulness that it did in the other mediums.

That said it still is awesome.
