Review of Battle Royale (2000) by Hasnain B — 26 Apr 2014

Just like there is a wide range difference between the story depicted in the novel and the movie! The manga Battle royale was glorious and I myself enjoyed reading it because of the intensifying compelling Drama filled with japanese love for Gore! And the deep rooted feelings of the characters involved. THe movie well lacked I don't know well everything where was the Drama the deep backstories that melancholic characters! Everything was just Drab! Every character had a story behind its kill! In the manga but in the movie people were getting killed its like lifeless rag dolls without emotions, the Movie thus lacked so much and left me thus disappointed, kinji fukasaku thus captured the story but not its essence! And butchering isn't that much fun if there's no reason behind it!

Some motive which the manga most obviously had but the movie clearly lacked And made the movie into a blood bath of nothingness!
