Review of Battle Royale (2000) by Giovanni M — 15 Dec 2014

When I first saw this movie, I loved it. It is a great film...having said that, I decided to read the book. I read it, and after, I was in awe. It may be one of my favorite books I've ever read. I loved it, every character was fully detailed and every minute was thorough so I decided to watch the film again.

I have to say, after reading it, I found the movie to be disappointing. You go from knowing everything about the characters to having them feel stock in production. I can't flaw the film completely because it only had 2 hours to tell a 600+ page story.

All I'm saying is, if you love the movie, read the book. It's epic.
