Review of Battle: Los Angeles (2011) by Raymundo G — 13 Apr 2018
It's like someone binge-watched Black Hawk Down and Independence Day and then tried to write a film that combines both of them. Battle: Los Angeles is for the most part, a fun, stupid little diversion into sci-fi/action.
However, the film shoots itself in the foot when it comes to the plot, because it tries way too hard to take itself seriously. And at nearly two hours in length, this causes the film to slow to a crawl at some points.
Thankfully, there's just enough blockbuster action to keep things going and prevent the film from sinking. It's fun, but nothing more.
