Review of Batman: The Killing Joke (2016) by Jamie C — 10 Aug 2016
Having never read the novel my review is based just on the animation itself although I do know the back story to the novel, The first half an hour was a big drag that didn't fit into the main plot at all and was just a time filler as it's just about Batgirl and her complicated love life with Batman and it's pretty dull but after 30 minutes the film shifts to its real story and things pick up slightly not as good as I hoped but I liked the idea for the story and the voice cast were great, The Jokers flashbacks of how he became The Joker were great and fit into the story well, I did expect abit more from this film but it's still pretty entertaining at times, The ending was weird but it fit well in well to dark tone which some people will love it hate.
