Review of Batman: The Killing Joke (2016) by Matt K — 24 Jul 2016
The Killing Joke is intense. Between harder dialogue, some intense scenes of the madness of Joker.
Overall, I really enjoyed this film. Not as unforgiving as the graphic novel, but it still packed a punch. It wanted to show you something evil inside people, as it only takes one bad day.
My main gripe is just the art direction of Batman. I was not the biggest fan of his style, the cowl ears being the worst of it for me. I loved the suddle references to the first Batman comic with Joker, and The Dark Knight.
If you're a fan of animated films, and don't mind the dark subject matter, this is a great film to watch!
