Review of Batman Returns (1992) by Christopher S — 30 Apr 2013
Darker isn't better. Tim Burton should have realised this, while also realising that his atmosphere of Batman Returns is way unpleasant for the fun sense it tries to give out. Michael Keaton may give a better performance as the Caped Crusader, but he isn't up against any good competition.
Michelle Pfieffer's Catwoman gives a bad sense of erotica that looks transexual, Christopher Walken is wasted as a no-name guy with a no-name purpose, and Danny DeVito has permanently ruined The Penguin for me.
