A ridiculous cartoon: loud, colorful, cheesy, and over-the-top, but that's exactly what Schumacher was going for. Batman Forever is entertaining from beginning to end. The villains are charismatic and insane, Jim Carey perfectly cast as The Riddler, and Val Kilmer aptly portrays Bruce Wayne as the damaged vigilante that he is.
It also has some surprisingly great dialogue, and the drop-dead gorgeous Nicole Kidman as the love interest. Good fun.
