Review of Batman Begins (2005) by Campbell P — 21 Jan 2015
Just gave this the re-watch tonight on Blu-Ray, and the thing looks beautiful. I did dock it a star because even as much as I love the film, it does still feel a tad long, though I would be hard-pressed to tell you what I'd see trimmed. The only thing that truly bugs me about the movie is the odd bits where whoever is driving the tumbler/Batmobile thing has to slide down on their stomach in the center of the vehicle to...aim (?) the weapons systems, which just seems like a weird arbitrary thing to throw in there, as if it'd look cool with the toys and other merchandising, so we've got to work it in.
That's honestly the only thing I still find distracting after a couple different viewings.
