Review of Batman Begins (2005) by Mr J — 31 Aug 2016
After Joel Schumacher bastardised the franchise Christopher Nolan brought it back to life and went on to make the dark knight (2008) and the dark knight rises (2012) which were award winning films. I think the reason for this is because Nolan stated in an interview that " I think the reason films are good or so the reason behind great movies is because of the actors in it" He took this and cast English actors to portray the characters.
Christian Bale-Batman/Liam Neeson-Ras Al Ghul/Michael Caine-Alfred Pennyworth/Gary Oldman- commissioner Gordon. I think Nolan chose these actors because he is English himself and he could there would be unspoken chemistry between him and the actors.
The first half of the film is following Bruce wayne's journey and it gives the audience insight to the character and fleshes Bruce out unlike any Batman film before it. It can make us relate to the character even more with his human emotions that weren't explored in previous films.
