The film is in no way life altering or ground breaking, but it wasn't a total disaster like word of mouth would have you believe. The twists are actually quite entertaining, until everything falls apart in the end.
The sexual tension between the leads is also something kind of lukewarm, and hardly erotic. Still, "Basic Instinct 2" is kind of campy fun, and not a bad way to waste 2 hrs., if you've nothing better to do.
