Review of Basic Instinct 2 (2006) by Stacey C — 17 Sep 2012
I do not think I saw the first film with Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas. I watched this film and found that it is a rather okay film - Sharon Stone standing out with her portrayal of a seductive, seemingly needy, yet almost psychopathic personality. Is she the killer or is she not?
I think this film is one that didn't need to be made and furthermore highlights the possibility that there are some possibly sick people who make films for a living.
I still remember Sharon Stone's star turn with Tom Selleck in his Magnum PI series in which she played a twin who seemed innocent and yet had a darker side to her. That role's width and breadth is reflected somewhat in this film though of course there is more emphasis on the evil of her character. 6/10.
