'Basic Instinct' is a 1992 American erotic thriller/neo-noir film that has been a culture inference and an Icon towards either movie like this film or its type of style, genre or element. The Film storyline/plot is basically about a former rock star, Johnny Boz, is brutally killed during sex, and the case is assigned to detective Nick Curran of the SFPD. During the investigation, Nick meets Catherine Tramell, a crime novelist who was Boz's girlfriend when he died. Catherine proves to be a very clever and manipulative woman, and though Nick is more or less convinced that she murdered Boz, he is unable to find any evidence. Later, when Nilsen, Nick's rival in the police, is killed, Nick suspects of Catherine's involvement in it. He then starts to play a dangerous lust-filled mind game with Catherine to nail her, but as their relationship progresses, the body count rises and contradicting evidences force Nick to start questioning his own suspicions about Catherine's guilt. The Tagline for the film is "A brutal murder. A brilliant killer. A cop who can't resist the danger", As the film tagline show is really dirty and sexy it show alot movie of the film then jus sex. The film start with its famous tagline music killing sound theme, stylish, erotic and well crafted and designed title form and dark toned colours, The film stars with a very, very erotic sex sense and then suddenly the famous Ice pick scene is at the start of the film with a bloody, violence and gory sex scene with a very hot naked young Sharon Stone with creepy old time sound music (It's the most gore, bloody & Violence sex scene I've every seen soo far and brilliant weapon of the famous scenes with an Ice pick).

The Movie is very raunchy, dirty, sexy, chilling, eerie, alot of naughty stuff, the best guilty pleasures film ever made (for its type), excellent thrilling, weirdo/odd, very great mystery twist, very suspenseful, very fucked up twisted film, all about sex and murder, very good playful sexual 90's film, the film is a rating R/18 film with loads foul-mouth, sexually themes and dirty, gory violence intake. The movie is a cleverly, intelligent, witty and genius early 90's film (1992), with a danger film that will push you over the edge, a very over the top bisexual thriller its very over naked/ sex movie which is very thrilling, it's a very long film but it's a perfect sexual, mystery, thriller and violence gory film. The film genre/elements Mystery/ Romance/ Thriller is soo brilliant it's totally out of this world brilliants I love it (also love the light blue and dark erotic tones). The film has a dark humour on it and shows the like of drug use, risk and bad inference like Sharon Stoneâ??s Virginia.

Basic Instinct was one of the most successful box office performers of 1992, collecting nearly $353 million worldwide and becoming an icon of the 1990's and the ninth highest-grossing film of 1992. It was also critically commended, receiving two Academy Award and two Golden Globe nominations-Jerry Goldsmith, the composer, was nominated for both awards for his original score, while Frank Urioste was nominated for an Academy Award for his editing and Sharon Stone was nominated for a Golden Globe as Best Actress, also nominated for three Razzie Awards including Worst Actor (Douglas), Worst Supporting Actress (Tripplehorn) and Worst New Star (Sharon Stone 'Tribute to Theodore Cleaver', AKA her vagina)(The Movie has been classified as a either good or bad film in my case is fucking brilliant) and the three main brilliant actors did'nt not desver to be nominated for a Razzie its soo silly hate the Razzie.

The Film is made on a budget of (very high for this type of film) $49,000,000, while grossing at the worldwide Box Office $352,927,224, which was a very big suspires by the studio, was a huge success on VHS, DVD sales & rentals and 14 year later made a sequel called 'Basic Instinct 2', but it was a huge flop at the Box Office and DVD sales & rentals and was highly negative from fans, critics and audience (but would like to see for myster as I love the first one). The Movie was mainly mixed by critics either being praised for its hot, sexy action-thriller, mystery and turns on the romance and psychology of a women murder or being panned for its senses of dirtiness or the amount of sex and violence in the film, while audience and moviegoer where giving the film critics acclaimed and had develop over the years with fans of the film a cult or classic sense and became a classic among its element and genre. The Movie Distributed is TriStar Pictures ( with a very old 90's Logo which is cool and the movie company beings out some really wicked cool film, which make me love this studio) & Carolco which are not a studio anymore. The owners in the past with TriStar Pictures are; CBS (1982-1984), HBO (1982-1987), Columbia Pictures (1982-1987) Sony (1989-present), Sony Pictures (1991-2007) & now Ernie Hudson (2007-Present).

The Movie has a now famous cast line-up, which are; Michael Douglas as Detective Nick Curran (nickname and book name Shooter) , Sharon Stone as Catherine Tramell(Her most best & famous performance role), George Dzundza as Gus, Jeanne Tripplehorn as Dr. Beth Garner, Denis Arndt as Lieutenant Walker, Leilani Sarelle as Roxy and the rest of the cast are less unknown and were good in this movie. The director Paul Verhoeven (who has director good and bad film throughout his life) has made a very hot, sexy, thrilling, Mystery, Crime and Romance Thriller that has twist and turns every were you see and has a shocking turn of event in the film that he has made history in cinematic.(you can tell what Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone are like in bed, but once you fuck her you going to be her next victim). I love that famous theme chune it going to be in my head for a long time.

Overall I have to say the film is the most best Mystery, Thriller & Romance movie (for its type of genre) of the 90's (1992) and even the decades of 1990-2000, I also think these is the most 2nd erotic and sexiest movie ever made. The Movie is a MUST-SEE for the genre, type of films or hardcore fans of the actor & director of their unique talented and performance they did in this outstanding/mid-blowing film, the genre of the film Mystery, Thriller & Romance are erotic and thrilling and the best of the year (1992), also with creepy/scary music in the movie. Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone have the dirtiest / all sex round chemeristy ever and have one of the best half hours most twisted ending ever in a film it's my new favourite film, The book an inconect of Sharon Stone characher in thew film is the key of the mystery of the film. Lv It!!!

(The film was even staled for the film generated controversy due to its overt sexuality and graphic depiction of violence. It was also strongly opposed by gay rights activists, who criticized the film's depiction of homosexual relationships and the depiction of a bisexual woman as a psychopathic serial killer), A never show of what the Plot/Storyline show (The film centers around police detective Nick Curran (Douglas), who is investigating the brutal murder of a wealthy former rock star. Beautiful, seductive and wealthy crime writer Catherine Tramell (Stone) could be involved; over the course of the investigation, Detective Curran becomes involved in a torrid and intense relationship with the mysterious woman who turns out to be very dangerous.).
