Review of Basic Instinct (1992) by Amanda H — 09 Aug 2011

This is a decent enough crime thriller, and I certainly can't say I hated it or was disappointed, but I really don't think I understand why some people consider this such a classic. Is it just because of all the blatant sex and nudity? That's really not a big selling point for me, so maybe that's why I didn't find it terribly impressive.

I mean... it's far from being the worst movie I've ever seen. But it's a pretty standard cat and mouse flick, in my opinion.
