If it were marketed as a soft-core adult film, it would have been an even greater influence on not only the porn industry but hollywood as well. As an actual mainstream work of cinema it is about as good as you would expect.
The plot is lame and so is the acting and the sex scenes most obviously an excuse to draw in hordes of Stone/Douglas fans to watch their favorite Actors consummate on screen. If your watching this movie, don't kid yourself, your watching it for that.
