Review of Barry Lyndon (1975) by Matt J — 20 Nov 2008
Over-wrought and over-long, although this film had some purely glorious moments, it is mired by its length. O'Neal's performance throughout the film is great and the war scenes (for its time) are masterfully shot, but far too often this film's pulse slows down to barely register.
There are other much better Kubrick films worth considering.
