Brilliantly, Boring, Cynical, Perfectionist Kubrick as his best. The same way 2001: A Space Odyssey made you feel (for better or worse) like you were actually in space, Barry Lyndon will (once again for better or worse) make you feel like you are actually in 17th Century Great Britain.
