This film is a marvel both in terms of visuals and narrative. The story is very simple: Barry Lyndon living his life, and the various exploits and encounters he has. That's really it. And you know what, It's so incredibly interesting! Kubrick just know's how to make films.
He just knows how to grab you with his images and his characters and his atmosphere. It's just so, so good.
