Review of Barney's Version (2010) by Ryan L — 16 Oct 2011

Based on the Mordecai Richler novel which I thoroughly enjoyed, this was a great adaptation that really captured the essence of the novel nicely. Giamatti is a standout as the lead character Barney, as the film takes us on an engaging journey through his life and the twists and turns that come about during it.

I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy this film, but it came as a pleasant surprise and is definitely one I would recommend, and a great example of Canadian cinema.
