Review of Bardelys the Magnificent (1926) by Zack B — 30 Jul 2013
An immensely enjoyable silent swashbuckler based on a Rafael Sabitini novel. I have not seen a lot of John Gilbert's work, but he was apparently one of MGM's biggest stars of the period. I can see why.
He has an engaging screen presence and a real talent for comedic action.
