Review of Bamboozled (2000) by Tara G — 07 May 2009
TV's IFC Channel just showed this movie and The Confederate States of America (reviewed this one as well) in a row. An interesting movie night choice, as both movies are studies, in their own ways, of being black in the USA.
Interesting. Bamboozled posits some interesting points of view, but Spike Lee just rambled all over the place. Was a bit disappointing, but still thought-provoking. And I realized that I still have a crush on Michael Rapaport.
..just plain odd. Shout out to MC Serch and the wondeeeeeful Mos Def, and of course The Roots.
