Review of Bamboozled (2000) by Kevin W — 10 Nov 2009

One of, if not my favorite Spike Lee films. It provides comedy as well as a serious message. The actors put in strong performances, especially Damon Waynes (yes a Waynes brother in a good performance, I am as shocked as you) but he really does, especially in the scene in his office with all the trinkets (you'll know it when you see it).

My biggest knock against this film is the knock most people have against Lee. He is never subtle with what he is trying to tell us. His audience is much smarter than he gives them credit for. Still though, it is a good movie.
