"Bad Times at the El Royale" gives you just enough to declare the movie watchable, but not enough to view it as a complete success either. The actors all give good performances and are interesting.
Maybe it just can't fill its overlong running time enough. It is fine, but doesn't live up to the promise it shows in the first half of the film.
