Review of Bad Times at the El Royale (2018) by David W — 12 Oct 2018
A story about a black singer, a priest, a vaccuum salesman, and a mysterious woman. Several of them aren't what they say they are. There's also the woman's younger sister and a cult leader.
The movie starts off really well but oddly turns into an episode of The Love Boat or Hotel, both of which were old TV shows with a bunch of random characters thrown into a place. Chris Helmsworth bare chest is distracting (in a very good way).
Nevertheless, I enjoyed the look the feel of the movie and kept me interested even when it ran about 2 1/2 hours long.
