Review of Bad Seed: The Truth About Our Food (2006) by Jakki T — 21 May 2013
Is it intelligence, as they claim or just pure arrogance that Monsanto and all the people behind its trail really would have the heart to "improve" agriculture and the lives of all?
Bad Seed would have you glued to examine all the angles of this topic for GMO-laden food that is flooding the market of the US and nothern America. Taking responsibility of our own lives by growing our own food is the answer. We are lucky here in the Philippines that we need not import ALL our food supplies. But we have to be very vigilant and continue to help educate people about the bad effects of the franken-foods that Monsanto is producing.
For now, our best weapon is our awareness. Learn how to read labels on our foods. Go back to our backyards and support our local farmers. Though some local government, like Bohol, are very vocal declaring NOT supporting GMO, we still have to be very vigilant and report any suspicious looking food supply in our grocery stores and local markets when we spot one. Empower yourselves by reading studies about it and not just rely on hearsay. Own your lives and take good care of it.
