Review of Bad Moms (2016) by Timothy A — 31 Aug 2016
Consistently funny (which is more than you can say for most Hollywood "comedies") and occasionally outright uproarious, but never truly overcomes the fact that the plot foundation is built on entirely first world problems, perhaps best exemplified by the fact that people spend the first half of the film telling Mila Kunis she looks like shit when she actually looks like Mila Kunis.
It's also a bit tiresome and predictable that a female battle of the wills has to end with revelation and understanding rather than a good ol' fashioned bloodbath. The end credit sequence, where the stars appear in vox-pop style interviews with their actual mothers, is worth looking up on youtube after the DVD release if you can't be bothered with the whole thing.
