Review of Bad Moms (2016) by Caleb E — 01 Jan 2019
Bad Moms is a funny film, but suffers from a typical storyline. The cast are impressive and play off each other, Bell shines in one of the supporting roles. This film tries so hard to be a womens Old School and it succeeds for the better part.
The issue with crude humour films is the jokes, they either hit or miss by a long shot. The connection with the kids and the love interest were going to be an issue to resolved at some point and this is the weakest parts of the film.
Convention is tough to break or mould and it would have been nice if they didn't rely on cliche storytelling beats. 29/12/2018.
