Review of Bad Moms (2016) by Azia D — 13 Nov 2018
Bad Moms reflects on a lot of issues that families and specifically mothers face in today's society. This film reflects on stereotypes as well as hardships mothers have to face, while adding a comical spin to it.
Through out the film we see examples of "mom shaming" and emotional internal struggles these mothers deal with. We see their struggles and successes terms of their romantic relationships, the relationships they have with their children and the relationships the mothers have with one another.
This movie has a predominantly female cast and when the fathers/ males in the movies are presented they are sexist and unsupportive to their wives. This excludes the one single father who is see as this "golden single dad".
Overall, this film touches on family dynamic issues and motherhood as a whole and I would highly recommend this film.
