Review of Bad Day at Black Rock (1955) by Willem W — 10 Dec 2007
My new favorite movie. A parred-down Western noir about doing the right thing, about speaking up when others won't. Tracy is quiet dignity and strength, the rest of the cast are slow-burn menace. A simmering pot that doesn't explode, but erupts with a geyser of steam.
They simply do not make them like this anymore.
