Review of Babette's Feast (1987) by Mark H — 19 Mar 2008
French name: Le Festin de Babette. Great film. I had to watch it for a university French course, and I am glad I did. I would not have chosen this film at a video store. The most interesting part of the film was about the preparation of the meal and the meal itself. The film has a wonderful Christian message, but I think it was the food that brought everybody together.
I liked the film so much that I saw it three times: the first time was with a "seance du film" with my class, and I did two other viewings at home.
