Review of Babel (2008) by Open 7 — 10 Aug 2011
This depressing but enticing drama spans over four countries: the United States, Mexico, Japan, and Morocco. 3 families and stories find their lives intertwined throughout this movie. The direction of the film is magnificent, also showing it from a hearing-ill Japanese girl's perspective.
It was unique, and I liked that part. There were some awkward and off-putting moments, but the story conquers these moments. The victims of fate and circumstance must find their way to continue with and conquer the problems of their lives.
Well done!
