Review of Awakenings (1990) by Anssi V — 03 Jan 2010
Robin Williams plays a good part as a shy and socially awkward research doctor. The movie is uplifting in the beginning and it's a real joy when all the patients start to awake, but as the true stories often are the movie is also damn depressive in the end.
Otherwise the movie is so-so, not bad but not that good either, although there is a message in the background to never take anything for granted.
