Awakening is a beautiful film with a great story. At times the films is liberating and uplifting, while being bleak and melancholic at others. Robert De Niro gives one of his career best and I think he is Oscar worthy for sure.
Robin Williams is also terrific as he always is. The supporting cast of Julie Kavner, John Heard, Penelope Ann Miller and all of the people playing the poor souls fighting against that retched disease are superb.
This is a film that everyone should watch.
