Review of Awakenings (1990) by Matt C — 20 Nov 2013
It's an amazing story and they've obviously taken a fair bit of creative licence. Having read the book though it's very scientific and dry so you can't blame them for adding a touch of drama.
De Niro's performance is a little hard to gauge and feels like Oscar baiting at times, Williams is heartfelt though.
