Review of Awakenings (1990) by Tor M — 12 Nov 2014
In these days many people honor Robin Williams by watching a flick or two from his filmography.
I have seen some, not to many and I picked a film that I haven't even heard about. It turned out to be a nice pick.
A very inspiring and warm story about a shy doctor, portrayed by Williams, and his pasients at a ward. Ace performances by Robin and Robert and a very emotional and gripping plot. It's well produced and is also quite funny.
It gave me loads of smiles and I'm really glad I gave it a go. It's fun to see Marge from "The Simpsons" "alive" too, it's quite easy to spot her, though. A charming feel-good flick, filled with goodness and humanity.
8 out of 10 milligrams.
