Review of Autumn Sonata (1978) by Joa G — 19 Jun 2013
There is something quite easy for me when I'm watching a Bergman movie: reach my own catharsis. It comes so natural that it's almost imperceptible. It also comes with a little bit of realization of the fears and the nightmares that haunt me -maybe that's why we want to describe his films as uncomfortables pieces-, but I don't mind.
If I had to pick one movie that has done that, between all the repertoire I watched in the last months, it has to be Autumn Sonata.
