What a family. Can any more drama be squeezed into it? This is definitely not a movie to watch if you have the slightest moody day. Ever wonder what else can be shared besides having similar DNA? That also includes the temperament. You can be what you hate about your parents.
Meryl Streep's performance is not constant. At times, she is more than a genius. At times, she is acting and seems contrived. Julia Roberts is formidable, because of what is written in her role. Together with the rest of the cast, August is an actors' movie.
