Review of August: Osage County (2013) by Lancekoz — 06 Aug 2018
No doubt about it, there's some yelling and histrionics... but way less than in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf and some others. There's plenty of humor and surprise, and tenderness, spread throughout a script that reveals wonderfully vivid and credible details about some troubled lives.
The acting, and diversely chosen cast is great, just a pleasure to watch. The photography and location fits beautifully. I rate it higher the second time around.
