Review of August: Osage County (2013) by Ammu S — 21 Apr 2014
Is life this dark and can a family have these many secrets that are spilled in one weekend? There is no flicker of hope and all the characters are doomed to a life of hopelessness. I would never want to live in a world that is this gloomy where unhappiness is the only way of life.
Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts were too competitive in their screaming match. You cannot judge them, just feel sorry for all the characters and pray that the month of September brings the Weston family of Osage County some peace and acceptance.
