Review of August: Osage County (2013) by Vailbeach — 31 Dec 2013
Critics don't like this film because there is too much good acting. In fact, the good acting and good dialogue are what make this rather intense family drama a pleasure to watch. Especially good: Streep, Martindale, Nicholson, Roberts, Cooper, Lewis.
The theme: the selfishness of the older generation leading to trauma among the next generation is exceedingly relevant.
