"Found footage" is a hit or miss sub-genre of horror but I thought "Atrocious" was a helluva lot better than "Paranormal Activity 2". I'm always compelled by what comes out of Spain, scary movie-wise, and I thought this one was done very well. The realism drives it home. Lots of folks can't hack the whole shaky camera thing but I don't think it's nearly as unbearable here as it was in "Cloverfield".
(SPOLER ALERT) I will warn you, however, that a dog gets killed in "Atrocious" and it's very upsetting. You don't witness his death on screen, just the sad aftermath of it...
