Review of Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001) by Sharyn H — 26 Oct 2009
I know there's been people knocking this because of the animation style, but I think it suits this movie perfectly. So too does the voicework (Summer's Atlantean voicework is surprisingly convincing, even despite it being an imaginary language!), and the humour is right on - I was snorting my drink on far too many occasions, hehe.
The touching scene of Kida and the stone Kings of her Past within the underground cavern was exceptionally well done, and the music was just beautiful. I loved all the characters - they were adequately developed and very entertaining to watch.
This is an animated movie that the grown-ups will love as much, if not more, than the kids.
