Review of Ashberry Waltz (2010) by Twins S — 16 Apr 2011
Very deep and profound Russian film based on true events that took places during World War II . The film depitcts the "forced" employment of young Russian women by the red army who would enroll them to clear wide minefields.
This movie is a perl in touching many aspects of many characters and their lives. It is Drama that riverbers the human side of War and Love.
Love being the "Greatest Common Divisor" of life.
No matter when we are in history, the ability of loving one another is always an important substrate of humans emotions which drives us to Live or Die for.
About the technical side of the film, there is little to claim; characterization works on full scale. You watch this film and walk out with something more than just watching a film; it teaches on War and its technicality, and on human complexity.
