Review of Boogie Nights (1997) by Twins S — 02 Sep 2013
Great film, excellent cast and a super story. Life catch 22 explored through highs&lows of porno business between 70s and 80s.
The movie talks about multiple stories that move in and out from the same pot, a pot of money fuelled by pornography used as a starting point to analyse aspects of greed, ideals, power, lust, fiction and reality.
Relationships between characters evolve through aspects of sexual stereotypes and cultural clashes confronted in a rat race to wellbeing where money are in the center of defining anyone social position weather in pornography or selling Hi-Fi systems posing the question of what is right and what is wrong.
