Review of Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) by James B — 09 Apr 2009
This film was SO fun! It's unbelievably long for comedy by today's standards, but there are so many gags. If you grew up on Looney Tunes, you will feel right at home watching this. Cary Grant is hilarious -- during some gags he looks right at the camera, which is something I think I've seen Jim Carrey try to do a couple times, but it was not as good.
Peter Lorre is quickly becoming my favorite silver-screen player and he is also pretty good in this.
