Review of Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) by Stcenterprise . — 15 Apr 2011
I thought that the film at first was nutty at first and got even more insane once the brother came in and we find that they are all a little crazy. The film has a Alfred Hitchcock feel to it as well as a comedic one. Once more people came in the film begins to get funnier and funnier.
I found it interesting how the film mostly revolving setting wise mostly in the house and in the grave yard.
One thing that I would have changed in the film were the scenes were they took place in the dark I would have still used some other lights to light the room a little better since it is a black and white film so that the audience could see exactly what was going on with the characters in the room as well as what is in the room better.
I thought that Cary Grant did a great job on his facial recations especially the eyes to give that surprised look.
