Review of Arizona Dream (1993) by Nicole W — 24 Jul 2013
If you come across a gun during the first half of a movie, you can expect it to go off in the second half. I will never claim to have a comprehensive understanding of the film (and beware of anybody who claims they have).
There are too many bizarre things going on constantly interrupted by the unexpected and erratic. Works for a while, but then you begin to tire of it. When the film aims for profundity it sinks, yet you still keep watching.
Maybe it's the odd cast? Bottom line: 15 minutes of "Besame Mucho" is too mucho, and what's with the flounder?
