Review of Appaloosa (2008) by Dave B — 31 Jul 2009
Ed Harris produced, directed and starred in this movie along with co-writing and singing one of the songs played over the closing credits. He should have focused on the acting. This film started out as a promising Western, but quickly sprinkled in some cliches.
The casting of Renee Zellwegger as a love interest for Ed Harris' character wasn't a good fit. The film would have been better without that whole storyline. Viggo Mortensen on the other hand, did a nice job and his character was the best thing in this movie.
