Review of Appaloosa (2008) by Kendra S — 13 Dec 2011
Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen are considerably badass in this movie and make for a good duo as they try to bring law and order to a town that faces corruption courtesy of one Jeremy Irons. The action, while solid, is stretched too thin for my tastes in what is an otherwise by the books western.
Instead you get more of Ed and Viggo's enduring "bromance" and Ed's growing relationship with Renée "I just ate a REALLY sour Sour Patch Kid" Zelweger (who is quite out of place in this movie by the way).
If you're a fan of westerns, it's worth a look, just don't go in expecting anything new.
