Review of Apocalypse Now (1979) by Tanner B — 24 Sep 2015
IGNORE THIS "OUT OF FIVE" RATING.
4/4.
Francis Ford Coppola disappeared into the jungles and returned with one of the most haunting and most powerful of all films. Martin Sheen is sent to Cambodia to exterminate one of the most decorated soldiers in the war. But his journey, along with the destination, gives the audience some of the most haunting and greatest scenes ever filmed. Truly magnificent photography by victorious Storaro, and searing performances all around. Cinematography and striking Sound Won deserved Oscars.
